Our trip to Sibari Marina
Not to be confused with Laghi di Sibari, the marina that we're staying
in. Sibari Marina is more a condo complex than a marina. Laghi di Sibari
has a bicycle that my dad can borrow, and Rigel and I have bikes that we
bought at a mechanic's shop in town. We used these to get to Sibari
Marina, a trip a bit too far to walk. We found that it was fairly quiet
this time of year, and few of the shops and restaurants were open. Well,
none were open, it was a Saturday. The marina still hasn't started to
dredge the channel, as we saw on our way back. It was fun riding out to
a place not yet visited, and I hope we can do it again before we leave.

Whoosh
Have you ever poured gasoline all over a strangely arranged pile of wood, stuck a lit lighter in, add wood for a bit, and then threw sand all over the fire? We have. It was our equinox bonfire. The day before, we had put wood in a box shape. The next day, we put gasoline on it. When it was lit, there was a tower of fire. Never have I heard the whoosh of gasoline catching ablaze outside of the movies. when we were done, we got the bucket we had brought, filled it with water, and dumped it. Then, we used the bucket to dump sand on it now, our impressive, huge, bonfire is: a mound of sand.

Look what else
The last gale did. Yes, that's the center of the entrance channel the boys are walking across.
