The Pitons
We are currently moored under the shadow of one of the Pitons, the two huge mountains that rise straight out of the sea here in St. Lucia. The close mountain shoots up out of the water at almost a 70° angle that continues up almost to the peak. The other Piton does not go up at such a steep angle, and is apparently much easier to climb. To climb this one you need rock climbing gear, because the final third goes almost straight up. If we try to climb one, we will either try the easier one, or only go part of the way up the closer one.
