The very top of Pico, the highest mountain in Portugal! Er . . . Wait a minute, the GPS is giving us an altitude of 4,546 feet, and the top of Pico is supposed to be over 7,200 feet. Hmmm. . . We must have taken a wrong turn somewhere. Oh, well. There are wineries and cheese factories to visit, and we need to take the ferry back this afternoon. The peak of Pico will have to wait until the next Atlantic crossing.
